We collect as little as possible. This page explains what we do collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

1.Who we are
The Loopov is a short-form video editing studio based in Ontario, Canada. We are responsible for the personal information described here. Privacy contact: hello@theloopov.com.
2.What we collect
The website itself does not collect your personal information. The "tell us what you need" section on our home page only prepares an email in your own email app. Nothing is sent to us unless you choose to send that email. [CHECK]
When you contact us by email (hello@theloopov.com) or by Instagram direct message (@theloopov), we receive what you choose to share, usually:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your Instagram or TikTok handle;
- the content of your message.
If you become a client, we also receive the footage, notes and brand assets you send us for your videos, and the details needed to bill you. [CHECK]
3.Why we use it
- To reply to your message.
- To provide the services you order, including making, revising and delivering your videos.
- To bill you and keep the business records the law requires. [CHECK]
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be added.
4.Where it is kept
- Emails are kept in our email inbox, provided by [CHECK: email provider].
- Instagram messages are kept by Instagram (Meta), under Instagram's own privacy policy.
- Client footage and files are kept in [CHECK: file storage service].
These providers may store information outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws of that country. [CHECK]
5.Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers we need to deliver your work (for example, file storage and the people who work on your videos for us), and only what they need for that job. They must keep it confidential. [CHECK]
We never sell your personal information. We may disclose it if the law requires us to.
6.How long we keep it

7.When you visit this website
We do not use cookies, analytics or tracking. To show the page, your browser loads some files from other companies' servers. Like any web server, they can see your IP address and basic browser details when your browser asks for those files: [CHECK]
- Google Fonts (Google): the fonts used on this site.
- cdnjs (run by Cloudflare) and jsDelivr: the GSAP and Lenis scripts that power the scrolling and animation on our home page.
The home page also saves a small note in your browser's session storage so the opening animation plays only once per visit. It stays on your device, is not sent to us and is cleared when you close the tab. [CHECK]
Hosting: this website is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, and may set its own security cookies. [CHECK]

8.Your rights
Under Canada's privacy law for businesses, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you access to it;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information, where we do not need to keep it by law.

9.Keeping it safe
